Affinity Rowing Club
ARC was established in January 2020. We have a Cornish Pilot Gig called Grace O'Malley, named after an Irish fearless female pirate, and a reinforced plastic gig called Knucker, named after a legendary Sussex water dragon.
Both are berthed at Newhaven Marina with access to the sea, Seaford Bay and the River Ouse.

We are open to new and more experienced rowers.

Community
Our aim is to be a friendly club, bringing together a group of people to enjoy a shared love of rowing; and in the spirit of our community, supporting each other to gain in skill and confidence.

Our rowers are all different ages, levels of fitness, interests and backgrounds. We have rows for beginners, technique development rows and race training for those interested in competing. We also have social rows for people who love being on the water, and prefer the social aspect of rowing which might involve cake and sometimes music.
